"I think I was able to go out there and affirm to the scouts how athletic I am, or impress them even more," Griffin said. "I was able to show people that I am as advertised. I'm a good guy, I like to make people laugh. I can't remember a meeting I didn't go in and we weren't laughing. "You go there and do what you're supposed to do, create a buzz for yourself," he added.

The Colts are expected to take Andrew Luck with the first overall pick, but just who will use the second selection remains to be seen. It has been reported that the Rams are willing to trade the No. 2 pick for the right package and a number of teams have already had preliminary talks with St. Louis.

Robert Griffin III ran the fastest 40-yard dash by a quarterback at this year's NFL scouting combine with a time of 4.41. Griffin was unofficially clocked with a two-run average of 4.38 seconds before his official time was released. Andrew Luck, the favorite to be the No. 1 pick, later ran twice, getting clocked unofficially at 4.66 and 4.59. Luck's official time was 4.67. Griffin is the only quarterback other than Michael Vick to run faster than 4.4 at the combine.

Oklahoma State receiver Justin Blackmon said that he wouldn't run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. However, a source with knowledge of the situation revealed the player might not go through any drills so he can rest his tender hamstring and be fully healthy for his March 9 pro day. He is considered the top receiver in this year's class.

Alabama running back Trent Richardson was given a passing review Thursday at the NFL scouting combine following an exam of his left knee that underwent arthroscopic surgery on Feb. 3, a development which noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews said, "was about as minor and routine as you can get."
